CARTSS Inititative 2013: Community Impacts of Energy Sources

CARTSS’ plan for the Spring of 2013 is to initiate a project that will be interdisciplinary at its core and will address a pressing local and global set of social, environmental, and economic issues. This initiative will house two main projects to start:

The Albert E. Smith(AES) Awards provide support for innovative social science research on issues associated with human survival in a nuclear age. Offered by CARTSS each Spring, this program offers research support to both tenure-track faculty and graduate students. Ethnography & Evaluation Research (E&ER) is an independent research unit with a distinguished history of contributions on a variety of issues in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education. Social Entrepreneurship for Equitable Development is an interdisciplinary research group involved in the emerging research of social entrepreneurship (SE) and sustainable Community development (SCD). The mission of the Latin American Studies Center (LASC) is to provide an institutional space for research, teaching, and discussion on Latin America at the University of Colorado at Boulder.
