Andreas Vårheim is a political scientist visiting CARTSS, CU from the University of Tromsø, Norway (in fact, the norternmost university in the world). At CARTSS he is working primarily with Sven Steinmo and Eisaku Ide (visiting from Japan) on projects relating to questions of social trust relating both to public libraries and the Japanese political economy. Presently he co-edites a book on Documentation Studies with Roswitha Skare and Niels Windfeld Lund at the University of Tromsø. A project with Anita Halvorssen on government international investment funds and environmental law and policy is in the start-up process.
